A NEW DAWN - 'SEVEN FACES OF TRUTH' - CD
The Netherlands has this habit of producing good bands and A New Dawn is one of those bands. This release offers a melodic feast of music coupled with some monstrous riffs. Fronted by two ladies offering clean vocals, this seven piece outfit is a very good band capable of writing good music at a very high level. Clearly, A New Dawn’s music is heavy and indeed rises above the mainstream Female Fronted Metal Bands. And with the addition of a grunter, Mike van den Heuvel, they sure do stand out! Cost is £10
A NEW DAWN - 'FALLING FROM GRACE' - CD
A New Dawn isn’t really new. They’ve actually been around since 1998 in one form or another. With clean and growl vocals, this Beauty and the Beast approach serves as the focus of A New Dawn and carries through much of the music presented here. And the beast vocals actually being offered up are by a female (Monica Janssen)! And, as B and B bands go, this one is pretty damn good. They’re Dutch of course, and utilize a style found in numerous western European bands, even if the composition is a little unique. The sound, however, is pretty much mainstream metal, with a few twists. Cost is £10
AKOMA - 'THE OTHER SIDE' - CD
AKOMA's 28 minute + EP 'The Other Side', consists of six atmospheric songs full of Tanya Bell's spherical voice. The album was recorded and produced by guitarist Morten Harboe. Akoma is right now working on a full length album which will see the light of day 2013. Meanwhile, buy the EP here for £8!
APPARITION - 'GHOSTS OF THE PAST' - CD
One of the Midland's (UK) top Female Fronted Gothic Metal Bands, Apparition has been around since 1997. This CD looks back at their past, with some unreleased material added in for good measure. The Cost - £9
APPARITION - 'FOR VENGEANCE...AND FOR LOVE' - CD
A lot of the material on this album will sound familiar to those punters that have seen Apparition live recently, 'Elysion' and 'Traitors Gate' being two such tracks. Although the band has recently encountered a few line up changes, Apparition confirms that the UK Gothic Metal scene is well and truly alive and screaming! The album was recorded at Priory recording studios at Sutton Coldfield in England and produced by Greg Chandler (Esoteric singer/guitarist). Mastering was done by Mika Jussila at the world reknown Finnvox studios in Finland. This is a very good recording by a band that is well known and very popular within the genre and well recommended... £10.00
ARAPACIS - 'NETHERWORLD' - CD
Arapacis was formed by guitarist Jerry Fielden in Montreal, Canada, in 2003 with the goal of fusing together 70's hard rock and prog with modern gothic, prog and doom metal to form a unique metal fusion, hence they cite their influences as Deep Purple to Rush to Leaves Eyes to Dream Theater to Candlemass, quite a portfolio. This is their third album, following on from 'So Many Leapers' in 2006 and 2009's 'Consequences of Dreams'. Throughout the album Jerry provides lashing of expert shredding, and in Lizzie they have a unique, stunning and outstanding singer. £10 will get you this awesome album.
ARMONIGHT - 'TALES FROM THE HEART' - CD
Italians Armonight were born in 2007 from the idea of guitarist Lara to find a band to play her friend Fjord’s compositions, soon they were joined by seductive singer Sy to recorded their first full-length, ‘Suffering and Passion’, released in November 2010 to rave reviews from around the world. Their live appearances throughout Europe have brought them a legion of fans who have been so impressed with their professionalism, determination, dedication, talent and sheer class that takes them onto a higher plane, this is a band that has the courage and conviction to take their music out there into uncharted waters. The whole album is so cleverly put together it seems to be over in flash, despite being well over 40 minutes long. Armonight have produced a passionate album of captivating gothic tinged melodic rock/metal that will capture your heart. Buy here for £10!

'Gossamer Witchcraft' sees the start of what looks like a very promising career for Russian Gothic Metal Band Blackthorn. Their debut album presents a combination of styles inc Gothic Metal, Black Metal and Classical Music. Blackthorn have set a new standard for female extreme metal. CINEMUERTE - 'AURORA CORE' - CD
'Aurora Core' is the follow up to Cinemuerte's 2006 album 'Born from Ashes', and I must say that 'Aurora Core' is a totally awesome release, with mixing and mastering by Waldemar Sorychta. Modern alternative Melodic Rock. Powerplay Magazine says: "Overall 'Aurora Core' is a pleasing album. Rock as it should be, dirty, sexy and topped off with huge melodies. 7/10." The cost - £7.00
DAMA -'eirwen' - CD
Dama was founded by beautiful singer, lyricist and composer Barbara Schera Vanoli and drummer/arranger Pierfrancesco Tarantino around Milan in Italy. The name Dama, or Lady in English, was inspired by Barbara's love of the great gothic cathedrals such as Notre Dame (Our Lady), and the album title Eirwen is the name of the fantasy land created by Barbara's imagination. Their style is lavish romantic symphonic gothic metal, similar to Silent Force Within Temptation, Stream of Passion and Rawkfist, but with a unique Latin flavour. This double cd of songs in English and beautiful Italian is awesome, with heavy digital sales already being reported one week after the digital release (cdbaby, iTunes etc)! The physical release will be generally available from 1st August, but it can be purchased here NOW for £11!
DAMSEL FLY - 'WHAT LIES BENEATH' - CD
Catchy rock songs that will be banging around in your head long after the cd has left the player. This album by Lisa and her band is a very fine effort indeed and we are proud to be associated with this band. Femme Metal Webzine says: "All-in-all, 'What Lies Beneath' is an extremely satisfying release from this great Canadian band. The songs are brimming with confidence and attitude and as a whole Damsel Fly have released an album that is very well done, and should come as a welcome addition to fans who love melodic hard rock..85/100" Can be bought here for £7.00 OUT OF STOCK

DEVA - 'BETWEEN LIFE AND DREAMS' - CD
The target of Deva's album could be split into two different categories: on one side the faithful listeners of prog metal (from Dream Theater to Nightwish) would appreciate it, on the other side those who appraise female vocals, both opera and modern would love it. Powerplay Zine here in the UK rates the cd highly giving it a 9/10. So get it here at just £10
EDENIAL - 'FROM THE END' - CD
Edenial from Chile offers up 12 tracks of accessible rock/metal, and some rather catchy stuff at that too. This album was recorded at the back end of 2009, and is now available in the UK via Ravenheart Music for just £9.00
ELECTRIC LADY - 'BLACK MOON' - CD
Formed by singer-songwriter Minna Ora and guitarist Kari Ora in 2007, the story of this Finnish band took a dramatic twist when Minna met French journalist and artist Nicole Morgan who persuaded the band to broaden their horizons and take their music worldwide. A strong friendship was born and Nichole went on to contribute several of the lyrics on this début album. They are a classic, high energy, hard rocking band with catchy melodic hooks. However, they have their own distinctive style, but to give you an idea just think around Pat Benetar, Pretenders, Lita Ford, who Minna has been compared to, and rock era Gary Moore. £10
EMBASSY OF SILENCE - 'ANTLER VELVET' - CD
Finland's Embassy of Silence was founded in 2007 by vocalist Ines Lukkanen and guitarist and composer Tero Kalliomäki, releasing their outstanding debut album 'Euphorialight’ in 2010 to much critical acclaim. On this new one, they have introduced more groove and consistency into their signature sound that lies somewhere between Delain, Lacuna Coil and Angtoria. And what a signature sound it is, a spine tingling wall of melodious sound that wraps around your ears in a warm embrace, with Ines's wonderful rich vibrant voice flying above. EVIL'S DESIRE - 'INITIUM' - CD
Evil's Desire is a symphonic/gothic metal band, founded in 2005 by the members of the Dutch heavy metal band Violent Queen. Evil`s Desire was first introduced to the public in 2005 during the pop festival 'Wallenpop' in Hellevoetsluis. The band received positive reviews of their performance. After this once and only performance the band started to develop itself with the arrival of two new musicians: lead vocalist Daphne Gobius du Sart and keyboardist Johan Seinen in 2006. Since 2007 the band has been hitting the stage a lot with one of the highlights being Wallenpop 2008. At the end of 2008 Evil`s Desire joined a collaboration of 5 dutch metal bands by the name of Six Pack of Dutch Metal. In October 2010 the band signed with Ravenheart music and the album which has already picked up an awesome review in Fireworks Zine, is available here for £10.

This new album from Highlight Kenosis sees the band refine and define their sound – a mixture of Krypteria, Guano Apes, Goldfrapp and No Doubt, to create their unique brand of ultra infectious metal with some prog leanings, swaying from pop-rock hooks to soaring choruses to dynamic rocking.
